Personal projects

Planet Cygnus
September 2023 - April 2024
https://eric-cousins.itch.io/cygnus

Planet Cygnus was my capstone project for the game design program, I worked on a team with 5 other developers to design, implement and test our project and ultimately feature it in the 2024 Level Up student showcase. Throughout the project I designed, programmed and iterated on the game's UI/UX features ranging from the camera controller to the game's interfaces and other quality of life features.

The game is a top down isometric shooter where players explore a desolate industrial world full of forgotten technology, dangerous insects and unique challenges to overcome.

Jet Studio Ultra
June 2023 - August 2023

A project that I participated in as part of Sheridan's entrepreneurial co-op program.
I worked with 8 other team members specializing in different aspects of design / development.
I acted as 1 of 2 gameplay programmers, where I developed third person camera controllers for 3D platforming and an arcade flight simulation.
