Mission Culture Transfer Plan for St. Paul’s Hospital Transition
Providence Healthcare is in the process of relocating to the new St. Paul’s Hospital and aims to ensure that its mission-driven culture is seamlessly transferred to the new environment. The challenge lies in maintaining the core values and cultural ethos that define the organization during this transition. The project involves creating a comprehensive plan that outlines strategies for cultural preservation and adaptation, ensuring that leaders are equipped with the necessary tools and resources to foster and sustain this culture. This initiative will help mitigate the risk of cultural dilution and ensure that the mission remains a guiding force in the new setting. The project will require learners to apply their knowledge of organizational behavior, change management, and communication strategies to develop an effective plan.
PHC (Providence Health Care) Art Collection Cataloguing
Providence Health Care seeks to complete the cataloguing of its extensive art collection, which includes over 800 artworks. The project involves gathering existing digital information and verifying it against the physical artworks. This includes measuring and photographing each piece on-site to ensure accurate records, interacting with medical staff, patients, and admin staff, as required, and collaborating with PHC Art Team and Mission Team. The goal is to create a comprehensive and organized digital catalogue that reflects the current state of the collection. This project provides learners with the opportunity to apply skills in data management, digital archiving, and photography while gaining insight into the management of a large art collection. The tasks are closely related and can be completed by a team of learners from a single academic program, such as art history, museum studies, archival or library and information studies, within two or three 64-hour timeframes. The team of learners will be joining our current team of four volunteers who have been working on this project for a few months.
