Hi there! We are looking for students with an interest in HR and Talent Recruitment, in an industry that is heavily passion oriented.


This project aims to assist a principal recruiter in general interview assessments, narrowing down applications and streamlining our hiring process.


By the end of the project each student will have learned all the processes involved in recruitment, all the way from organizing large amounts of data, scoring, conducting interviews and selecting a final candidate.

Deliverables

Project Scope:

The focus of this project is recruiting qualified software developers, designers and project managers.

1. Organize and complete a primary assessment on candidates resumes and intake videos

2. Learn how to and practice conducing screening calls

3. Research and provide a new methodology for the company's recruitment process


Detailed Activities:

  • Attend a weekly group discussion with principal recruiter and executives
  • Filter, organize and present data on the candidate pool
  • Deliver weekly updates on selected candidates and their current progress
  • Learn and conduct screening calls to primary candidates
  • Learn and help support lead recruiter with behavioural and technical interviews
  • Express areas of uncertainty and conduct research with with a principal advisor on the company's recruitment process
  • Deliver a final report discussing suggestions and methodologies the company should implement for its next recruiting process.


Mentorship

At Terra Practice our executive team will offer one-on-one mentorship to each student and coach them throughout the project. They will begin by understanding the

student's professional and career goals and learn how this project can help them build skills to achieve those goals.


Students will have check-ins two times a week including their weekly co-working session. This allows for team work, understanding their progress and enabling the removal of blockers.


They will have access to an in-house research, design, and engineering team through Slack and virtual meetings. They will also have access to our advisory board with backgrounds in:
