The MBA Graduate Practicum Program (GPP) at University Canada West offers a unique Work-integrated Learning experience. In this program, employers have the opportunity to hire MBA students for roles that can be paid, unpaid, or stipend based. These positions require a commitment of 12-24 hours per week, aligning with the students' 12-week Capstone Experience Course (WORK-601). For the Spring 2025 Term, which runs from April 7th to June 29th, 2025, the program is set to place 8-10 students.

Our program equips students with comprehensive skills in operations and project management, guided by PMI standards. Our candidates possess a deep understanding of project management principles, including the creation of detailed Work Breakdown Structures (WBS), effective risk management, and meticulous cost and time management. Additionally, our students excel in various areas of operations management. They are proficient in process improvement techniques, such as Lean and Six Sigma, enabling them to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness. Their skills in supply chain management ensure seamless integration and coordination across various functions within an organization. Moreover, they are adept at resource allocation, capacity planning, and quality control, ensuring that projects meet high standards and are delivered on time and within budget.

Participating in the MBA GPP presents employers with the opportunity to tap into a talent pool of seasoned MBA students. Employers can benefit from the fresh perspectives and up-to-date academic knowledge these students bring to tackle complex business challenges.
